Hawley
The Hawley retainer is an acrylic appliance worn on the palate with a wire passing in front of the teeth. This appliance must be worn as prescribed by the orthodontist to maintain the position of the teeth obtained after orthodontic treatment.
Lingual wire
A lingual wire is a fixed appliance bonded to the back of the teeth at the end of orthodontic treatment to ensure stability and prevent tooth movement of the incisors.
Retention shell
The retainer is a transparent plastic appliance that completely covers the teeth. This appliance must be worn as prescribed by the orthodontist to maintain the result of orthodontic treatment.
