In a normal bite, the upper teeth are closer to the cheek than the lower teeth. If the lower teeth are closer to the cheek than the upper teeth, they are in a crossbite position. Orthodontic treatment can correct this functional aspect of the malocclusion by widening the palate and correcting the position of the permanent teeth.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"c-two-columns_right\">\n                <h4>Correct the anterior-posterior relationship of the jaws<\/h4>\n<p>During adolescence, it is possible to stimulate jaw growth in order to correct disharmony between the jaws. The teeth most commonly affected are wisdom teeth, molars and maxillary canines. Tooth inclusion can be caused by a lack of space, a poor eruption pattern or an obstacle to eruption. With the right technique, orthodontic treatment can restore an impacted tooth to its correct position on the dental arch.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"c-two-columns_right\">\n                <h4>Promoting the correction of bad oral habits<\/h4>\n<p>Some skeletal problems can stem from bad oral habits, such as atypical swallowing, thumbing from an early age or mouth-breathing.
